How to Create a Value Prompt in Cognos Report Studio

Cognos Value Prompt

• Create a list report with the following query items

• Order year

• Order method

• Quantity

• Group on order year

• Total on quantity

• From page explorer

• Click on prompt pages

• From insertable objects

• Drag the page

• Drop on prompt pages window

• Double click on the prompt page

• From toolbox

• Drag the value prompt

• Click on next

• From package item

• Click on eclipses

• From package

• Select order year

• Click on OK

• Click on Next

• Click on Finish

• Save & Run the report

• From the properties pane, select the property – Select UI

• From drop-down list

• Select Radio button group
