How to Query Date and Time in Snowflake

In Snowflake, By using the “select” statement and the “WHERE” clause, we can query the date and time. This blog discusses different cases of querying the date and time. 

Snowflake - Query Date and Time

We use the following code to get data and time immediately:

select current timestamp;
select systimestamp();
select getdate();
select localtimestamp();

Find the rows between two timestamps or data

select *
from events1
where event_date between ‘2022-05-19’ and ‘2022-06-19.’

select *
from events1
where event_date between ‘2022-03-09  10:01:00’ and  ‘13:30:00.’

Find rows created within last week:

select*
from events1
where event_data > (select dateadd(week, -1, getdate()));
